Player Information:

Jonathan Nurse is Barbados citizen and football player who currently is signed on with the English team, Dagenham & Redbridge.  He plays striker for the squad in the mid-level League Two, one of England’s professional divisions.  Nurse has spent his entire career in England, and he has enjoyed a steady advancement through the competitive leagues, beginning in 2003 when he signed with the Isthmian League club Sutton United.  In 2008, the Barbados Football Association, as a part of a program of bringing experienced footballers onto the island nation’s National Team, contacted him with an invitation to join the squad.  He accepted, and has accumulated four caps with the Bajan Pride since then.

After stubbornly serving as an unpaid reserve for a while, Nurse earned his place on the Sutton United club and had a pair of strong seasons with them.  He then attracted the attention of the Conference national squad Stevenage Borough.  He signed with Stevenage in 2004 and had his best years with them.  When injuries held him back the next year, he was placed on loan to Lewes, another Conference National squad.
